Planten un Blomen Park
Right in the heart of the city, adjacent to the CCH – Congress Center Hamburg, is Hamburg’s “green lung”, the iconic public park called ‘Planten un Blomen’, or plants and flowers.
This splendid recreational area covering 45 hectares (110 acres) definitely fulfills what its name promises, with colorful flower beds, extensive lawns and idyllic small lakes. It features unique theme gardens, a botanical garden including a tropical greenhouse as well as Europe’s largest Japanese garden. What is more, visitors can enjoy multicolored water light concerts on the park lake every evening from May until September.
Whether you want to go jogging in the morning, take a breather at midday, or feel like taking a leisurely walk in the evening, Planten un Blomen Park is just the right place for you to recharge your batteries and enjoy the fascinating view of the sparkling fountains.
Thanks to its diversity and central location, the park is a magnet for locals and guests of the city alike.
